I’m so excited to make these this weekend! I am not able to eat corn (or potato) at the moment, and I was wondering if you have a recommendation for a different starch that might work as a substitute that would yield a similar texture.

Hmmmm good question! Have you ever seen wheat starch? You can normally buy that at Asian markets! I’m a little afraid of tapioca starch in this recipe but maybe 1 tbsp is enough to help bind without changing the texture too much!

Made this tonight and had such a hard time with the patties! I wonder why it was so hard to keep the shape…

They also reminded me of a few different shrimp dishes 💕 I’m tempted to just use fish cake when I’m feeling lazy one day!
