This mix of cookies sounds amazing. I'd love to make the mocha crunch ones! Looking around the internet for the rice bits (another new ingredient!) but otherwise will go with sprinkles. They look great and, selfishly, I always want chocolate.

They are SO GOOD! In the post I linked an online grocer that is out of Santa Rosa if you feel like ordering but I hope you can find them near you!

Oh I’ll totally do an order right now. Is there anything else you’d suggest ordering from this market? Can’t just get one thingggggg. Eheh

Oh that's so hard! They have pretty much everything! I would definitely check out the dried and instant noodles to stock in your pantry and also explore any new fun sauces you don't normally see near you!

Where did you buy masago arare locally? Was at BBW today and could not find it there. But luckily they did have mini white pearl sprinkles.

Thanks! They all vary with ease and accessibility of ingredients! The ginger snaps and ritz cookies are very easy and most everything is found in a conventional grocery store. Gai Mei Bao cookies have easy ingredients but just take some time and effort and for the mocha crunch only the rice crackers are hard to find but you can swap with sprinkles, such an easy cookie to make.

It seems like dry milk powder is a very common ingredient in your Mooncake and Milk Bread cookbook. Do you think it can be substituted?

Hey friend! If I’m making my own sesame paste, should I lean savory or sweet - ie, should I blend the sesame with sesame oil, or honey? Thanks!

I like to blend it with a little bit of neutral oil and sugar! Honey works too. There’s are more exact recipe in my first cookbook, Mooncakes and Milk Bread!

The mocha crunch recipe is 100% garbage. Idk if it's a mix-up with the ratios or what but they taste like straight baking soda bc it calls for 1/4 CUP of baking soda. That and 2 tsp vanilla is insane for a 14 cookie batch. Very much do not recommend, 0/10

Hi James, the 1/4 cup is very much a typo and should be 1/4 tsp baking soda instead. 1/4 cup cup of baking soda should never be used in a recipe unless it is for cleaning stainless steel pans. The recipe and PDF have been updated. Not sure I agree with you regarding the vanilla... I would say you can measure vanilla with your heart and 2 tsp of vanilla for 14 chocolate forward cookies is not insane.
