So nice seeing all your baked goodies for friends’ birthdays. Very creative recipes, esp the strawberry funfetti marble cake. Now that’s a birthday cake! I love baking for people’s birthdays too and try to incorporate their favorite flavors. I work in a bakery, but my boss is not much of a sweets person - go figure - so it’s something savory when her birthday rolls around. BTW, I’ve never heard of a cosmic brownie either until I read your newsletter :)
I just finished writing a post about the birthday cake marathon we have at our house every summer between end of June and mid-August! My 3 kids and I have summertime birthdays so there is lots of deliberation and planning on flavors, decorations, and height (lol, just why?). Your strawberry funfetti marble is now on my list of things to make.
